Funktion:
Der "Behringer CMD DV-1 MIDI CONTROLLER" ist ein preisgünstiger USB-Midi Controller. Da das Gerät für die Dreh-Encoder allerdings keine generischen Midi-Nachrichten (CC+Ch+0...127) ausgibt, sondern nur Informationen zur Drehrichtung, ist eine Verwendung mit DAWs wie „Cubase“ nicht möglich. Aus diesem Grund wurde die Software „CMD Translator“ entwickelt.
Die Software kommuniziert über Midi-Nachrichten mit dem Behringer CMD DV-1 und emuliert einen generischen Controller mit Drehreglern (CC 0...127), Tastern und Schaltern zur Steuerung der DAW.
